Learning to let go: Reflections from my Art Therapy training

Since September 2025, I have been studying Art Therapy with Metàfora in Barcelona. As part of my postgraduate diploma, I recently had the opportunity to reflect on my experience within the program through a written essay.

Designed to develop our writing skills, critical thinking, and reflective practice, the assignment invited us to explore themes such as creativity, boundaries, and play through the lens of our own experience.

I chose to write about my relationship with control and uncertainty in the creative process. Titled From Control to Exploration: Engaging with Chaos in My Creative Process through Group Art Therapy, the essay reflects on my shift from a control-oriented, outcome-focused approach toward a more exploratory engagement with materials, emotions, and ambiguity.
